Guided Forest Meditation Walk

Guided Forest Meditation Walk

Thursday, June 15, 2023 (10:00 AM - 11:00 AM) (PDT)

Description

The redwood forest is an awe-inspiring place that leaves visitors feeling a sense of wonderment. Beyond the physical benefits of hiking through the redwood forest, there are many mental and emotional benefits as well. Through a guided meditative walk at Stout Grove, a beautiful old-growth redwood grove along the banks of Smith River, visitors will have a chance to experience the redwoods in a new and unique way.

On this walk, visitors will connect to the magnificent Coast Redwoods through a guided meditation. Barefoot (if they choose) participants will ground themselves with the pulse of the planet. Participants will learn about the benefits of grounding/earthing and about our personal energy centers, and how to connect ours with the trees and each other on this meditative journey. The group will meet at the Stout Grove Trailhead at the parking lot off of Howland Hill Road. The walk will include the Stout tree for this event, and will last for about 1 hour. Participants are welcome to continue walking the ½ mile trail in bare feet and practice connecting to the trees on their own.
