Story Road Business Activation Walk

Discover local businesses. Connect with community leaders. Help strengthen East San Jose.

Join us for a special end-of-year Business Activation Walk along Story Road. Connect with fellow Chamber members, local business owners, community leaders, public officials, and other stakeholders as we discover the stories behind the businesses that help shape East San Jose’s commercial and cultural identity.

This guided walk is an opportunity to meet local entrepreneurs, hear directly from merchants, explore neighborhood businesses, and build meaningful connections with the people and organizations invested in the corridor’s future.

Why Story Road?

Since the late 1970s, Story Road has served as a commercial and cultural center for San José’s Vietnamese-American community. Landmarks such as Grand Century Mall and Vietnam Town, alongside multi-generational family businesses, reflect the corridor’s rich history of immigrant entrepreneurship, cultural continuity, and community connection. By visiting local businesses and hearing their stories firsthand, participants can gain a deeper understanding of the opportunities, challenges, and contributions that shape this vibrant business district.

 Be Part of the Walk!

Let’s show up for Story Road and the small businesses in the area.
