iCode is medium business in San Jose, CA. We are professional, agile, innovative and our goal is to iCode’s Programs are a comprehensive STEM curriculum taught to kids and teens at our hi-tech, fully equipped campuses. Each instructor-led session consists of a lesson covering an exciting new STEM topic, followed by a hands-on activity designed to reinforce the concept. Our campuses are divided into hubs (or classrooms) where your student will join with like-minded peers in group and individual projects as they develop not only vital technical skills like coding, robotics, and web development, but also in important soft skills like teamwork, leadership, and communication.

The STEAM Instructor possesses excellent knowledge in the field of Computer Science. The STEAM Instructor takes the time to get to know each student. The STEAM Instructor encourages and influences each student on an individual basis while innovating, collaborating and creating technology. The STEAM Instructor is responsible for creating a fun (GAMIFIED) learning experience for students to achieve and master the iCode belt system. They deliver each instructional session while evaluating the progress of each student in the program.

Responsibilities:

· Teach and educate students according to guidelines provided bu iCode.

· Always manage an orderly classroom.

· Provide meaningful feedback about class material and student dynamics in the classroom in weekly status reports.

· Assess, record and report on the development, progress, attainment and behavior of students.

· Provide weekly communication and updates to parents on a weekly basis.

· Treats students equally and fairly.

· Always present a professional manner.

· Maintain exceptional classroom standards.

Qualifications:

· Experienced in HTML, JavaScript, Alice, and Python.

· Experience using GameMaker and Unity is desirable.

· Strong knowledge of computers, devices, and operating systems.

· General knowledge of Agile methodologies.

· Positive attitude, outgoing and excellent people skills.

· Dependable and flexible to work evenings and weekends.

· Good written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to work with students ranging from K-12.

· Strong problem–solving and analytical skills.

· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

· Being able to perform well under pressure.

· High school diploma required.

· Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Seniors of BS in Computer Science required.

· Masters in CS or related discipline is preferred.

· Exceptions can be made for students who are graduates of the iCode Program.

· Exception also for exceptional students in High School with a career focus in Computer Science and active leadership role in a high school STEAM club.

Expectations:

· Stay on schedule provided by campus director/manager.

· No social media usage while at work.

· While on the clock, employee’s time is 100% committed towards iCode.

· Perform tasks within the timeline provided by manager.

· Be dedicated to the San Jose campus duties and not be distracted by other tasks.
